any one remember, or old enough to go to Reggie Smiths Pavillion, along the sea front next to May Ave, Peter Bond, Peter Stacey, Myself John Cousind, Jimmy Bartlett, Stan Hayes,Kenny Gilmore, Terry Moore, to name but a few, we used to have so much fun, with our old cars, Peter Bond with his pink Caddilac, and then in later years old Bill Adams had a putting green next door, paid two bob and bill would invite you in the shed for a beer, and you would go home drunk, i am talking about 1964.

Yes quite well. Also the other guys mentioned. especially Terry
Moore Jimmy Bartlett Stan Hayes and of course Billy Adams. They are all a bit younger than I am. However quite a few of those named are still alive and kicking.Of course Billy Adams inherited the golf course from his dad Niger Adams a real character of the old school.Must go now will add more later

Geoff. can't help you out their. He had so many cars. He changed cars like most people change their socks. The car i remeber most was an American light green "Pakard". The last time i saw him with it was outside his old club the "Kynoks" Club. The entrance was on the High Street between Oxford and Florance Road. The door is still their. He Jonny Burton,Who owened the paper shop on the corner of Oxford Road(now a Taweaway), Dicky Goddwin who was a scrap iron merchant were on their way to the dog races. the club was quite run down even in those days 1948-50. Marcus Maybanks who was a amateur boxer, i and a few other lads used to train their, on occassions Pat Thain a professional also used to attend.By the way it was said thet the Packard once belong to a murderer who i think was a guy called Haig he supposedly took his victim's up in a light aircraft and dumped them in the Thames. How true the storey i am not sure i may have even got the guys name wrong.
That's all for now, more Later.

With reference to my last post. Sorry I made an error in nameing
Haigh as trhe guy who dumped them in the Thames. Haig used an acid bath to dispose of his victims. Not a very nice subjet for a snowy Sunday Morning. Apology to all. Back soon. Best regards
