THE Queen Mum visited Benfleet School just after the flood.This was a reception centre for Canvey Flood victims

Thanks - did anyone officially open the dam that was built across Tewkes Creek (where the rugby field is now) or come to see the new sea walls being built or when they were finished?

Royalty to visit Canvey. The earl of Wessex will pay a visit to canvey on the 13th June,Buckingham Palace has announced.Prince Edward will visit Canvey Junior School,Long Road. He will also meet the owners and styaff at the Labworth Restraunt,eastern espanade,canvey.He will visit TEC marina.in Piont road. and the Benfleet Flood barrier Ferry Road. Finishing at the dutch cottage
